Caln Township is a township in Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, the township had a population of 14,428.
History[edit]
Caln Township was established in 1714 and is one of the oldest townships in Chester County. The name "Caln" is derived from the town of Caernarfon in Wales, reflecting the Welsh heritage of many of the early settlers in the area. The township has a rich history, with several historic sites and buildings that date back to the 18th and 19th centuries.

Caln Township is located in the central part of Chester County. It covers an area of approximately 8.8 square miles, all of which is land. The township is bordered by several other municipalities, including Downingtown to the east and Coatesville to the west.
