The Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) is the graduate business school of Stanford University. It is located in Stanford, California. The school offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA), the Stanford MSx Program (a one-year, full-time Master of Science program for mid-career professionals), and a PhD program, along with various joint degrees with other schools at Stanford including Stanford Law School and the Stanford School of Engineering.
History
The Stanford Graduate School of Business was established in 1925 when Herbert Hoover, an alumnus of Stanford, encouraged the university to create a business school. The first dean was Willard Hotchkiss. The school has grown significantly since its inception and is now one of the most prestigious business schools in the world.
