Mifflin County is a county located in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. As of the 2020 census, the population was 46,143. The county seat is Lewistown. The county was created on September 19, 1789, from parts of Cumberland and Northumberland counties and named after Thomas Mifflin, the first Governor of Pennsylvania.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 415 square miles (1,070 km²), of which 411 square miles (1,064 km²) is land and 3.8 square miles (9.8 km²) (0.9%) is water.

As of the 2020 census, there were 46,143 people, 18,743 households, and 12,456 families residing in the county. The population density was 112 people per square mile (43/km²). There were 20,745 housing units at an average density of 50 per square mile (19/km²).

Mifflin County is governed by a board of three county commissioners. The county is part of Pennsylvania's 12th congressional district.
