Snyder County is a county located in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. As of the 2020 census, the population was 39,736. The county seat is Middleburg. The county was created on March 2, 1855, from parts of Union County and named after Simon Snyder, the third Governor of Pennsylvania.

Snyder County is situated in the central part of Pennsylvania. According to the United States Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 332 square miles (860 km²), of which 331 square miles (860 km²) is land and 1.2 square miles (3.1 km²) (0.4%) is water.

As of the 2020 census, there were 39,736 people, 14,414 households, and 10,123 families residing in the county. The population density was 120 people per square mile (46/km²). The racial makeup of the county was predominantly White, with small percentages of other races.
