Wawa, Pennsylvania is a small, unincorporated community located in Delaware County, in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. History

The area now known as Wawa was originally inhabited by the Leni Lenape Native Americans. European settlers arrived in the 17th century, and the community eventually got its name from the Ojibwe word for the Canada goose (taken from the cry of the bird itself).
