Ahold and Delhaize Group announced their merger plans in June 2015. The merger was completed after regulatory clearance in the United States and Europe. The new company, Ahold Delhaize, was listed on Euronext Amsterdam and Euronext Brussels.
Operations[edit]
Ahold Delhaize operates in several countries worldwide with a significant presence in the United States and Europe. The company's brands include Food Lion, Hannaford, Giant Food, and Stop & Shop in the United States, and Albert Heijn and Delhaize in Europe.
