History

The Annals of Anatomy was first published in 1886 by Gustav Fischer Verlag, a German publishing house. The journal was initially published in German under the title Anatomischer Anzeiger. In 1991, the journal started publishing articles in English and changed its name to Annals of Anatomy - Anatomischer Anzeiger.

The Annals of Anatomy covers a wide range of topics in the field of anatomy, including histology, embryology, neuroanatomy, and cell biology. The journal also publishes articles on the application of anatomy in medicine, biomedical engineering, and biomaterials.
