Testosterone palmitate

Testosterone Palmitate is an ester of testosterone, a naturally occurring androgen. It is a long-acting prodrug of testosterone that is less polar than free testosterone. Chemistry

Other important testosterone esters include testosterone cypionate, testosterone enanthate, testosterone propionate, and testosterone undecanoate.

As a prodrug of testosterone, testosterone palmitate is considered to be a natural and bioidentical form of testosterone. Once in the body, it is metabolized to yield free testosterone. Potential side effects of testosterone palmitate include androgenic effects such as acne, hirsutism, and voice deepening, as well as estrogenic effects like gynecomastia and fluid retention.
