History
Edwin Gossner Sr. immigrated to the United States from Switzerland in the early 20th century. He brought with him the traditional Swiss method of cheese making, which he used to establish Gossner Foods in 1966. The company has since grown to become a leading producer of Swiss cheese in the United States.
Products
Gossner Foods produces a variety of dairy products, including Swiss cheese, cheddar cheese, monterey jack cheese, and mozzarella cheese. The company is also known for its shelf-stable milk, which is processed using ultra-high temperature (UHT) treatment. This allows the milk to be stored without refrigeration for up to nine months.
Facilities
Gossner Foods operates two facilities: one in Logan, Utah, and another in Heyburn, Idaho. The Logan facility is the company's headquarters and main production site, while the Heyburn facility focuses on the production of UHT milk.
