Suriclone

Suriclone is a sedative and anxiolytic drug in the cyclopyrrolone family of drugs. Other cyclopyrrolone drugs include zopiclone and pagoclone. Suriclone has a similar pharmacological profile to the benzodiazepine family of drugs including sedative activity, anxiolytic action, and providing a deep and restful sleep.

Pharmacology

Suriclone enhances the action of the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) at the GABAA receptor, resulting in sedative, anxiolytic, and muscle relaxant properties.
