Todd Wider

Todd Wider is an American plastic surgeon, documentary film producer, and environmental activist. He is known for his work in the field of breast reconstruction surgery, particularly in the development and promotion of autologous tissue transfer techniques. Wider has also produced several critically acclaimed documentary films, including God Knows Where I Am and Taxi to the Dark Side.

Early life and education

Wider was born and raised in New York City. He attended Harvard University, where he studied biology and art history. He then went on to earn his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Wider began his medical career as a plastic surgeon, specializing in breast reconstruction surgery. He is known for his work in the development and promotion of autologous tissue transfer techniques, which use a patient's own tissue to reconstruct the breast.
