Memory[edit]
Memory in computer hardware refers to the electronic components that store instructions waiting to be executed by the CPU, data needed by those instructions, and the results of processed data (information).
Primary Memory[edit]
Primary Memory or main memory is the area in a computer where data is stored for quick access by the computer's processor.
Secondary Memory[edit]
Secondary Memory is where program and data are kept on a long-term basis. Common secondary storage devices include hard drives and solid-state drives.

Storage Devices are used to store data and instructions permanently. They retain information even when power to the system is turned off.
Hard Disk Drives[edit]
Hard Disk Drives (HDD) are a type of secondary storage device that use magnetic storage to retrieve and store digital information.
Solid State Drives[edit]
Solid State Drives (SSD) are a type of secondary storage device that uses integrated circuit assemblies to store data persistently.
Input/Output Devices[edit]
