Guanoxabenz is used for the treatment of hypertension. It can be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive drugs.
Side effects
Common side effects of guanoxabenz include drowsiness, dry mouth, and constipation. Less common side effects include depression, insomnia, and palpitations.
Contraindications
Guanoxabenz is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug. It should also be used with caution in patients with severe coronary insufficiency, recent myocardial infarction, or cerebrovascular disease.
