Hersheypark is a family theme park situated in Hershey, Pennsylvania, United States. The park was founded in 1906 by Milton S. Hershey as a leisure park for the employees of the Hershey Chocolate Company. Over the years, it has expanded to include a wide variety of attractions, including roller coasters, water rides, and family-friendly entertainment.

History

Hersheypark was originally established as a recreational area for the employees of the Hershey Chocolate Company. The park officially opened on May 30, 1906. In its early years, the park featured a baseball field, a grandstand, and a pavilion for events. Over time, the park added various rides and attractions, evolving into a full-fledged amusement park.

The Boardwalk is a water park section within Hersheypark that includes various water attractions such as wave pools, lazy rivers, and water slides.
