Stouffer's
Stouffer's is a popular brand of frozen foods owned by Nestlé. It was established in the United States in 1922 and has since become a household name in the frozen food industry.
History
Stouffer's was founded by Abraham and Mahala Stouffer in Cleveland, Ohio. The couple initially started a small coffee shop in 1922, which eventually expanded into a chain of restaurants known as Stouffer Lunch System. In 1946, the company ventured into the frozen food business, selling their meals under the brand name Stouffer's Frozen Foods.
Products
Stouffer's offers a wide range of products, including single-serve meals, multi-serve meals, and side dishes. Some of their most popular products include Lasagna with Meat & Sauce, Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo, and Macaroni & Cheese. All Stouffer's meals are made with high-quality ingredients and are designed to be convenient and easy to prepare.
Acquisition by Nestlé
In 1973, Stouffer's was acquired by the Swiss multinational food and drink processing conglomerate, Nestlé. This acquisition allowed Stouffer's to expand its reach globally and further develop its product line.
Sustainability Efforts
Stouffer's is committed to sustainability and has implemented various initiatives to reduce its environmental impact. These include reducing water and energy use in its factories, minimizing waste, and sourcing ingredients responsibly.
