Apple TV

Apple TV is a digital media player and microconsole developed and sold by Apple Inc.. It is a small network appliance and entertainment device that can receive digital data from a number of sources and stream it to a capable television. Apple TV is an integral part of the Apple ecosystem, allowing users to access a wide range of content from the iTunes Store, Apple Music, Apple TV+, and other streaming services.
History

Apple TV was first announced in September 2006 as "iTV" and was later renamed to Apple TV before its release in March 2007. The first generation of Apple TV was a 40 GB model, which was later upgraded to a 160 GB model. It was designed to sync with a user's iTunes library and stream content to a television.
First Generation

The first generation Apple TV was released in March 2007. It featured a 40 GB hard drive, later upgraded to 160 GB, and was capable of streaming content from iTunes. It had a Front Row interface and supported up to 720p video output.
Second Generation

In September 2010, Apple released the second generation Apple TV. This model was significantly smaller and lighter than its predecessor and introduced a new operating system based on iOS. It supported 720p video output and introduced streaming from the iTunes Store and other services like Netflix.
Third Generation

The third generation Apple TV was released in March 2012. It supported 1080p video output and included a faster processor. This model continued to build on the streaming capabilities of its predecessor and added support for more services.
Fourth Generation and Apple TV HD
In September 2015, Apple introduced the fourth generation Apple TV, also known as Apple TV HD. This model featured a new operating system called tvOS, an App Store, and a new remote with a touchpad and Siri integration.
Apple TV 4K

The Apple TV 4K was released in September 2017. It supports 4K resolution, HDR10, and Dolby Vision. The device is powered by the A10X Fusion chip, providing improved performance for streaming and gaming.
