Cadbury
Cadbury is a British multinational confectionery company, founded in 1824 by John Cadbury. It is now a subsidiary of the American multinational Mondelez International. Cadbury is known for its wide variety of chocolate products, including Dairy Milk, Roses, and Creme Eggs.
History
John Cadbury started the company in Birmingham, England, in 1824 as a tea and coffee shop. In 1831, Cadbury expanded into cocoa and chocolate manufacturing. In 1878, the company moved its production facilities to a new site in Bournville, which became known as the "Cadbury model village" for its worker housing and amenities.
Throughout the 20th century, Cadbury continued to expand, merging with other confectionery companies and introducing iconic products, such as Dairy Milk and Roses. In 2010, Cadbury was acquired by Kraft Foods, which later became Mondelez International.
