Annals of Surgery is a monthly peer-reviewed medical journal that covers the field of surgery. It was established in 1885 and is published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, a division of Wolters Kluwer. The editor-in-chief is Keith D. Lillemoe, MD, who is the surgeon-in-chief at Massachusetts General Hospital and the W. Gerald Austen Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School.

History

The Annals of Surgery was established in 1885 by L. L. Seaman. The journal was initially published quarterly, but it switched to a monthly publication schedule in 1920. The journal has been published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins since its inception.
