Call the Midwife

Call the Midwife is a British television series set in the late 1950s and 1960s, based on the memoirs of Jennifer Worth. The series follows a group of nurse midwives working in the East End of London.

Plot

The series depicts the lives of a group of nurse midwives attached to an Anglican religious order in the East End of London. The storylines explore the social issues of the time, including poverty, post-war immigration, and the National Health Service (NHS).
