McAuslan Brewing[edit]
McAuslan Brewing is a microbrewery located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was established in 1989 by Peter McAuslan and Ellen Bounsall, and has since grown to become one of the most popular craft breweries in the country.
History[edit]
McAuslan Brewing was founded in 1989, at a time when the craft beer industry was still in its infancy in Canada. Peter McAuslan, a former civil servant, and his wife Ellen Bounsall, a graphic designer, decided to start their own brewery after being inspired by the craft beer movement in the United States.
Products[edit]
McAuslan Brewing is best known for its flagship beer, St-Ambroise Pale Ale, which is named after the street where the brewery is located. The brewery also produces a variety of other beers, including St-Ambroise Oatmeal Stout, St-Ambroise Apricot Wheat Ale, and Griffon Extra Pale Ale.
Distribution[edit]
McAuslan beers are distributed across Canada and are also exported to several countries, including the United States, France, and Australia. The brewery also operates a pub and retail store on its premises in Montreal, where customers can sample and purchase its beers.
Awards and Recognition[edit]
Over the years, McAuslan Brewing has received numerous awards for its beers. For example, the St-Ambroise Oatmeal Stout has won several gold medals at the World Beer Cup and the Canadian Brewing Awards.
Sustainability[edit]
McAuslan Brewing is committed to sustainable brewing practices. The brewery uses energy-efficient equipment, recycles its waste, and sources its ingredients locally whenever possible.
