The Briarcliff Manor Fire Department was established in 1901, making it one of the oldest volunteer fire departments in Westchester County. The department was initially equipped with a single horse-drawn fire engine, which was housed in a small wooden building on Pleasantville Road.

Organization

The department is composed of two companies: the Briarcliff Manor Fire Company and the Scarborough Engine Company.
