Buffalo Wild Wings was first established in Columbus, Ohio, when Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowery, who were originally from Buffalo, New York, were craving authentic Buffalo-style chicken wings. Unable to find any in their area, they decided to open their own restaurant. The first Buffalo Wild Wings location was opened near The Ohio State University campus, and it quickly gained popularity among students and locals.
