Northumbria University is a public university located in Newcastle upon Tyne, in the North East of England. It was established in 1969 as Newcastle Polytechnic. Following the Further and Higher Education Act 1992, it became the University of Northumbria at Newcastle in 1992. The university is known for its business school, which has won the prestigious Business School of the Year award from the Times Higher Education in 2015.

Northumbria University offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across four faculties: the Faculty of Arts, Design and Social Sciences; the Faculty of Business and Law; the Faculty of Engineering and Environment; and the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
