The Philadelphia Flyers are a professional ice hockey team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They are members of the Metropolitan Division in the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The team was established in 1967 as part of the NHL's first expansion.

History

The Philadelphia Flyers were one of six teams added to the NHL in the 1967 expansion.
