Tunica albuginea is a dense layer of tissue that surrounds certain organs in the body. It is most commonly associated with the testicles and ovaries, but it can also be found in the penis and the eye. The tunica albuginea helps to maintain the shape and structure of these organs.

The tunica albuginea is composed of dense connective tissue that contains a high concentration of collagen fibers. These fibers are arranged in a layered pattern, which gives the tissue its strength and flexibility. The thickness of the tunica albuginea varies depending on the organ it is associated with.
