ISO/TC 215

ISO/TC 215 is the International Organization for Standardization's Technical Committee dealing with health informatics. It was established in 1998 to develop, harmonize and promote health informatics standards to facilitate the creation, interchange and use of health related data, information, and knowledge to support and enable all aspects of the health system.

History

ISO/TC 215 was established in 1998. The committee's secretariat is held by Standards Australia (SA), which is the nation's peak non-government, not-for-profit standards organization.

Scope

The scope of ISO/TC 215 includes standardization in the field of informatics in health. This includes, but is not limited to:
