Zabiha (pronunciation: /zəˈbiːhə/; etymology: Arabic ذَبِيْحَة‎, 'slaughtered') is the Islamic method of animal slaughter for consumption. It is a part of the broader Islamic dietary laws known as Halal.

Definition

Zabiha is a method of animal slaughter in which the animal's jugular veins, carotid arteries, and trachea are cut while reciting the Takbir and the Shahada. This method ensures the swift and humane death of the animal, minimizing its suffering.
