Seattle Children's (pronunciation: /siːˈætəl ˈtʃɪldrənz/), formerly known as Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center, is a renowned pediatric medical institution located in Seattle, Washington, United States.

Etymology

The name "Seattle Children's" is derived from its location in the city of Seattle and its primary focus on pediatric healthcare. The institution was originally named "Children's Orthopedic Hospital" when it was founded in 1907. It was later renamed to "Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center" before finally adopting its current name, "Seattle Children's", in 2008.
