MedFlight

MedFlight (pronounced: med-flight) is a non-profit air and ground critical care transportation company based in the United States. It was established in 1983 to provide critical care transportation for patients in need.

Etymology

The term MedFlight is a portmanteau of the words "Medical" and "Flight", indicating its function as a medical flight service.

Function

MedFlight provides both air and ground transportation for critically ill and injured patients. This includes HEMS, fixed-wing aircraft, and ground ambulance services. The organization operates 24/7, responding to scene calls and providing inter-facility transports.
