Eric Keroack (pronunciation: Eh-rik Ker-o-ack) is a prominent American Obstetrician and Gynecologist known for his work in the field of Women's Health and Family Planning.

Etymology

The name Eric is of Old Norse origin, meaning "eternal ruler". Keroack is a surname of unknown origin.

Biography

Eric Keroack is a graduate of the Tufts University School of Medicine, where he specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has served as the medical director for several women's health clinics and has been a vocal advocate for Abstinence-only sex education.

In 2006, Keroack was appointed by President George W. Bush to oversee the Office of Population Affairs, a division of the United States Department of Health and Human Services responsible for family planning and reproductive health. His appointment was controversial due to his views on contraception and abstinence.
