Cypress Creek Emergency Medical Services (Cypress Creek EMS, pronounced: /ˈsaɪprɪs kriːk ˈiːɛmˈɛs/) is an EMS organization based in Harris County, Texas. It is a non-profit organization that provides prehospital care and ambulance services to the residents of the Cypress Creek community.

Etymology

The name "Cypress Creek EMS" is derived from its location, Cypress Creek, a major tributary of the Buffalo Bayou in Harris County, Texas, and the service it provides, Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

History

Cypress Creek EMS was established in 1975 to provide emergency medical services to the Cypress Creek community. It started with a single ambulance and has grown to a fleet of more than 15 ambulances, serving a population of over 500,000 residents in a 177 square mile area.

Services

Cypress Creek EMS provides a range of services including emergency medical services, non-emergency medical transport, community education and training, and disaster response. It also operates the Cypress Creek EMS Communications Center, which provides dispatch services for multiple agencies in the region.
