Covid-Organics
Covid-Organics
Covid-Organics (pronunciation: /ˈkoʊvɪd ɔːrɡəˈnɪks/) is a herbal concoction promoted as a cure for the COVID-19 virus. The term is derived from the words "COVID-19", the disease it claims to treat, and "organics", referring to its herbal composition.
History
Covid-Organics was developed by the Malagasy Institute of Applied Research (IMRA) in Madagascar. It was launched in April 2020 by the President of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina, who claimed it to be a preventive and curative remedy against COVID-19. The main ingredient of Covid-Organics is Artemisia annua, a plant with proven efficacy against malaria.
Controversy
The World Health Organization (WHO) and other international health bodies have expressed skepticism about the efficacy of Covid-Organics due to lack of scientific evidence. They have warned against the use of untested treatments and emphasized the importance of clinical trials for validating the safety and efficacy of new medical interventions.
