CNS stimulants also raise blood pressure and increase heart and respiratory rates. They are treated to treat depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (a disorder in which a person has trouble paying attention, controlling actions, and staying still or calm), and narcolepsy (a sleep disorder).
