History

The Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust was established in 1970, making it one of the oldest air ambulance services in New Zealand. The trust was initially funded by the Auckland Regional Council and later by public donations and sponsorships.

Operations

The trust operates two Westpac-sponsored Sikorsky S-76 helicopters, which are equipped with advanced medical equipment and staffed by highly trained paramedics and pilots.
