Qi Gong

Qi Gong (pronunciation: chee-gung) is a system of coordinated body-posture and movement, breathing, and meditation used for the purposes of health, spirituality, and martial arts training.

Etymology

The term Qi Gong is derived from two Chinese words. Qi (Qi), which is often translated as life energy, life force, or energy flow, and is the central underlying principle in traditional Chinese medicine and martial arts. Gong (Gong), which means accomplishment or skill that is cultivated through steady practice. Together, Qi Gong means cultivating energy, and it is a system practiced for health maintenance, healing, and increasing vitality.
