Social distancing

Social distancing is a strategy used in preventing the spread of infectious diseases such as Corona virus outbreak where a people, whether they are infected or not, are asked to stay at home; and keep away from people.
Rationale for social distancing in COVID-19 prevention[edit]
The virus, SARS-Cov-2, the cause of COVID-19, is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, and between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet) through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes when these droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.

- IF SOMEONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD HAS TESTED POSITIVE for the coronavirus, keep the entire household at home. Do not go to work. Do not go to school. Contact your medical provider.
- IF YOU ARE AN OLDER PERSON, stay home and away from other people.
- IF YOU ARE A PERSON WITH A SERIOUS UNDERLYING HEALTH CONDITION that can put you at increased
- risk (for example, a condition that impairs your lung or heart function or weakens your immune system), stay home and away from other people
