History[edit]

Founded in 1849 as the Tualatin Academy, the original Forest Grove campus is 23 miles (37 km) west of Portland.

Campuses[edit]

The university maintains three other campuses in Eugene, Hillsboro, and Woodburn, and has an enrollment of more than 4,000 students and offers courses in many subjects including those in the fields of arts & Sciences, business, education, health professions such as optometry.
