Incrocio Manzoni refers to a series of grape varieties developed by Professor Luigi Manzoni in the early 20th century. These varieties are the result of cross-breeding experiments conducted at the Istituto Tecnico Agrario Statale "G.B. Cerletti" in Conegliano, Veneto, Italy. The aim was to create grapevines that combined desirable traits from different parent varieties, such as disease resistance, high yield, and quality wine production.
