Description
English: Law 194/78 guarantees that Voluntary Termination of Pregnancy in Italy can legally be performed in public health facilities.

Despite this, the right to voluntary abortion is often denied by conscientious objector doctors and health workers. The graph below shows the movements through Italian regions

of patients who performed VTP in 2021 in relation to the presence of conscientious objectors in each region.
