Description
English: In 2011 the map area was inhabited by 1.4 mln people, 1.1 mln in Tyne and Wear county.

Population density, computed from 2011 Output Area (OE) data, is shown on the 2020 map, so the newest housing estates are visible in the grey zone. Values sometimes are not representative because:

  • sometimes an entire nonresidential area, like a park, is included in just one of several adjacent OEs;
  • sometimes OE includes only a building, or just part of it, to maintain a strict household count limit in OE, resulting in very high density values.
OE boundaries are visible, particularly in red and pink areas.

Gęstość zaludnienia obliczona jest z danych Output Area (OE) z 2011 i jest na mapie z 2020, tak więc nowajnowsze osiedla widać w szarej strefie. Wartości czasami nie są reprezentacyjne ponieważ:

  • czasami cały obszar bez budownictwa mieszkaniowego, np. park, jest zawarty tylko w jednym z kilku sąsiadujących OE;
  • czasami OE obejmuje tylko budynek, albo tylko jego część, żeby utrzymać sztywny limit domostw w OE, co daje bardzo dużą gęstość.
Granice OE są widoczne, szczególnie w czerwieni i w różu.
