English: Tacacá is a soup common to North Brazil, particularly in the states of Acre, Amazonas, Rondônia and Pará, and is well loved and widely consumed. It is made with jambu (a native variety of paracress), and tucupi (a broth made with wild manioc), as well as dried shrimps and small yellow peppers. It must be served extremely hot in a cuia.
Português: O tacacá é uma sopa comum no norte do Brasil, particularmente nos estados do Acre, Amazonas, Rondônia e Pará, e é bem amado e amplamente consumido. É feito com jambu (uma variedade nativa de paracreme) e tucupi (caldo feito com mandioca silvestre), além de camarões secos e pimenta-de-cheiro amarela. Deve ser servido extremamente quente em uma cuia.
