Deutsch: Ostansicht der Ruine Hinterhaus in der niederösterreichischen Marktgemeinde Spitz in der Wachau.
Die in Teilen romanische Anlage (12. und/oder 13. Jahrhundert) wurde vor allem im 15. Jahrhundert ausgebaut. Die terrassenförmig angeordnete Burg misst eine Länge von rd. 75m und eine Breite von etwa 20mː [1]. Am höchsten Punkt der Anlage steht in der Nordwestecke der Hochburg der 20 m hohe, quadratische Bergfried. Seine Seitenlänge beträgt ca. 7,2 m. Er stammt noch aus romanischer Zeitː [2]. Die Burgruine ist frei zugänglich. Im Jahr 1970 kam sie in den Besitz der Marktgemeinde Spitz. Ab 1977 begann der damalige Verkehrsverein Spitz, heute der Tourismusverein Spitz, mit Instandhaltungsarbeiten und der Restaurierung der Ruineː [3] English: East view of the Hinterhaus ruins in Spitz an der Donau. |
