Description
English: Crystal structure model ('molecular model') of ruby, with aluminium shown in blue, chromium in red and oxygen (unusually) depicted as clear balls. This 'Beevers' molecular model was made by Miramodus ltd of Edinburgh using 7mm acrylic balls and 1mm diameter stainless steel rods, at an accurate scale of 1.00cm = 1.00 Angstrom.
