Description
English: Radiation Ltd announce a new concept in gas cookers: merely by setting a pointer, the oven will automatically go to the desired temperature, and stay there. According to The Economist (1936) the concept revolutionised gas cooking. Sunday Pictorial, 13 May 1923. page 10; identical advertisements appeared simultaneously in other newspapers. Regulo has now become synonymous with the temperature scale, also called gas mark.
