Description

Ball-and-stick model of a protopine molecule, C20H19NO5, as found in the crystal structure determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and reported in Acta. Cryst. B (1968) 337-346 (CSD entry PROTPN). The nucleophilic and electrophilic atoms are highlighted, as well as the amine-to-carbonyl n→π* interaction and the Bürgi–Dunitz angle of 102°.
