Summary
DescriptionNeurons (Purkinje cells).jpg
English: Optical microscope image of neurons (Purkinje cells) located in the cerebellum of a dog. Note the nucleus in the middle of the cells and observe the tentacle-like dendrites extending out of the pear-shaped cell bodies. The cell bodies are attached to the granular layer of the cerebellum (right) through the layer of parallel-spread mossy fibers, while the dendrites are located in the molecular layer area (left). They seem spread out in this image but compared to granule cells are much flatter, bundled & less sparse
Eesti: Valgusmikroskoobiga tehtud pilt neuronitest (Purkinje rakud) koera väikeajus (tserebellumis). Rakkude keskel on näha rakutuum ja pirnikujulistest rakukehadest ulatuvad välja kombitsalaadsed dendriidid. Rakukehad on kinnitunud väikeaju granulooskihile(paremal) ja dendriidid asuvad väikeaju molekulaarkihis(vasakul).
