Summary

Description
English: This patient exhibited a complication associated with a case of lepromatous leprosy, which under the newer World Health Organization (WHO) standards, is classified as multibacillary (MB), leprosy. In this case, the man’s right lower back, and right flank regions, displayed a mottled, erythematous patchiness. This condition is caused by an infection by the bacillus, Mycobacterium leprae.
