Description Portrait of Elizabeth Yates who became the first female mayor (of Onehunga, New Zealand in the British Empire in 1893.
Date Unknown date. Yates died in 1918 at approximately 83 years after after a long time in a mental hospital, so this photo is unlikely to have been taken much after 1901 when she last had a political position, and is likely much older.
