to 1947, based on the following. The comedy team didn't have their own program until 1942. NBC began using this type of logo in 1942 with the "lightning bolts" to its right representing television. Abbott and Costello moved their show to the ABC/Blue Radio Network in 1947. The ABC/Blue Network was formerly the NBC Blue Network, which the network was forced to sell as a result of antitrust legal proceedings. Before the forced sale, there were two NBC Radio Networks, one Red Network and one Blue Network. Abbott and Costello appeared on NBC Television as rotating hosts of The Colgate Comedy Hour beginning in 1951.
