Diagnostic test - (pronounced) (DY-ug-NAH-stik. . . ) test used to find out what disease or condition a person has based on their signs and symptoms. Diagnostic tests can also be used to plan treatment, find out how well the treatment is working, and make a prognosis. There are many different types of diagnostic tests.
